Abstract Submission

Call for Extended Abstracts
The Local Organising Committee is pleased to invite you to participate in the 4th Biennial PIANC APAC Conference, to be held 25–27 August 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, located in Brisbane’s vibrant South Bank cultural precinct.
Building on previous highly successful conferences, PIANC APAC 2026 continues to serve as a vital forum for professionals across ports, harbours, coastal and waterway infrastructure throughout Australia, New Zealand, and our Oceania and Asia–Pacific neighbours.
Theme for 2026: “Connecting and Sharing – Oceania and Asia-Pacific Neighbours”
We invite you to submit Extended Abstracts presenting research, technical innovation, case studies, best practice, and real-world applications across all areas of port, harbour and maritime infrastructure.
PIANC APAC strongly values diversity, equity, regional inclusion and capacity-building. In 2026, we particularly welcome contributions from developing country neighbours across Asia-Pacific and Oceania.
Accepted lead authors will be invited to present their work during the conference.

Submission Guidelines
Extended Abstracts must be submitted using the template provided:
- Be 500–800 words
- Be 1–2 pages in two-column layout
- Use Arial 10 pt text; Arial 14 pt bold centred title
- Include full authorship, affiliations, and contact details
- Underline the presenting author – preferably the first author
- Include a 100-word summary
- Include up to five keywords
- Address relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals where possible
Please note:
- Full papers are not required for tis conference (no peer review)
- Accepted presenters must register and pay to attend the conference (for at least one day) and cover their own travel and accommodation expenses
- Abstracts must be submitted by main presenting author
- Acceptance or otherwise is at the discretion of the Local Organising Committee
